BY CAR – FROM THE SOUTH Leave Motor Way M1 at junction 21, (or from the end of the M69) follow signs for the A5460 to Leicester. At the next roundabout turn left, again following signs for the A5460 and Leicester (Narborough Road South). After a mile of dual carriageway you will approach a set of traffic lights (with the Holiday Inn Hotel on the right). Go straight over at these and the next set of lights (Fullhurst Avenue). At the 3rd set of lights, turn right on to Upperton Road, and follow the road straight on to the 2nd set of traffic lights. Go straight ahead onto Walnut Street. Go to the end of the road (opposite Leicester Tigers Rugby Club). Turn left here into the one-way road (with Leicester Royal Infirmary on the left). Keep in the middle lane and go through 2 sets of lights, then come into the right-hand lane and follow the road around to the right (with an old stone building on your left). This is signposted City Council and Phoenix Arts. Take the 1st right, stay in right-hand lane and follow the road into the Phoenix Car Park. Park your car in this car park and follow detailed map of the city centre below with SDSA office marked in red circle.
BY CAR FROM THE NORTH Leave the M1 at junction 22, then at roundabout take the 1st exit onto the A50 (signposted Leicester), Keep straight at all round abouts. Pass Glenfield hospital; pass Barclays bank on your left keep straight till the end of the road (Travelodge is in front of you). At this set of traffic lights turn right onto Vaughan Way - A594 (signposted Central Ring Road South) Continue forward through underpass (signposted Central Ring, All other routes) Branch left (one-way) onto Newarke Street. Take first right and the first left, you have reached Phoenix Car Park. Park your car in this car park and follow detailed map of the city centre below with SDSA office marked in red circle.
BY TRAIN SDSA’s office is about ten minutes walk from the train station. As you come out of the train station cross the road and turn left into Granby Street, keep walking for about half a mile until you see Bishop Street on the left. Alliance House is on the left hand side just as Town Hall Square opens out ahead of you.
